Palheiro Village was officially inaugurated on 25 September 2008 in an opening ceremony which took place in the Village Forum building with 180 guests gathered around the stunning new pool and deck with panoramic views to the Bay and the Atlantic.
Complimentary speeches both from Dr Alberto João Jardim, the President of Madeira, as well as Dr. Miguel Albuquerque, the Mayor of Funchal were delivered. Mr Adam Blandy, on behalf of the development team, Sociedade Imobiliária Balancal S.A. , related the history of the Village from its conception to near completion.
The Village Forum will be the natural meeting point for owners, with its heated outdoor pool, bar and viewing deck. The Forum also houses a reception, property management offices and a multiuse room for the owners.
