A seminar about ‘Social Marketing on the Internet’ was held on the morning of Friday 31st October at the prestigious ‘Casa Velha do Palheiro‘ luxury country house hotel overlooking the bay of Funchal on Madeira island.

The seminar provided an in-depth look at how social marketing is crafted around social bookmarking, social networking and viral marketing. Also discussed was the important role that blogs play in adding a completely new dynamic dimension to a website and how this can help increase a company websites link popularity and Google PageRank.

The seminar was presented by Chris Szabo from Navega Bem - Web Design; the company responsible for almost all of the Palheiro Group website development. Participants were made up of staff from all the different departments and companies within the group, namely: Palheiro Golf - Casa Velha - Palheiro Estate -Palheiro Rentals, Florialis and Palheiro Village.

Further presentations are envisaged for the future to help the Groups staff fully embody the corporate internet strategy that is being followed and encourage their participation.
